Katuahnet news for Friday, January 23 2009 - This evening at 7:30 pm., the Black Twig Pickers will perform at the Country Store in Floyd, where temperatures are expected to be unseasonably warm.

A 2-14 cardmaking party, organized by the Traces library for creative literacy, will also be taking place later today at 111 West Main Street in downtown Floyd to honor the Black Twig Pickers and other influential local artists. Supplies for this project are being donated by Suzy Nees, and Gallery 111 will be hosting today's event.

Street dancers and others looking to enjoy some not-so-fierce weather in Floyd, VA could hardly pick a better Friday than this one to venture out...Why not join the Katuahnet today as we welcome the Black Twig Pickers, and the coming Spring, to their stages tonight?
