Blacksburg, Va., January 4, 2006 -- A wide range of educational and cultural programs and community service events will be held as Virginia Tech celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Week Jan. 15-20. All events are free (unless otherwise noted) and open to the public.
Among the highlights will be a keynote address by Rev. Jesse Jackson, founder and president of the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition and noted civil rights, religious and political figure, on Monday, Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. in Burruss Hall Auditorium. Tickets for this event are free and available at the UUSA Ticket office located in Squires Student Center. Rev.
