Kidfest Etc.

I had a great visit (and a great snack) at Karen & McCabe's place this morning
Karen & McCabe are the new folks in studio 124 at the Jacksonville Center

they had a sweet little open studio thing this morning with homemade bread etc.
I hope you will make Karen & McCabe feel welcome there

Speaking of the Jacksonville Center Kidfest will happen this weekend.

This is a free, family-friendly event which will feature pumpkin customizing activities for all ages as well as a non-competitive costume contest. It will happen on Sunday October 29 from noon to 4 pm. Billy & Chris might play some music in the silo that day.

From the Floyd Press:
"There will be awards in many different categories as this is an event where every child is acknowledged and everybody wins."

Also in the Floyd Press is news of the Art Tour 10 studio tour. This group will sponsor its first studio tour and sale on November 4 & 5 in the New River Valley. Participating artists include Sarah McCarthy, Jayn Avery, and Carter Holliday. As soon as I get more info on this I promise to post it ASAP on the Northern Most page.

Oh yes here is some other news: Sweetwater Market is a new web support client. Cleverly, they bribed me with food at the interview and that was all she wrote.
